A Forever Home: Stacey Solomon’s Pickle Cottage Garden Oasis

As a pickling enthusiast, I’ve always dreamed of having a garden that’s perfect for entertaining and relaxing with family and friends. And, let’s be real, who wouldn’t want a garden that’s fit for a celebrity? Stacey Solomon, the Loose Women star, has given us a glimpse into her stunning garden at Pickle Cottage, and I’m obsessed!

A serene garden oasis

With 2.5 acres of land, Stacey’s garden is the epitome of a forever home. The mum-of-five has worked tirelessly to create a space that’s perfect for her kids to play and explore. And, with the help of her husband Joe Swash, they’ve managed to create a garden that’s not only beautiful but also functional.

A refreshing pool area

One of the standout features of Stacey’s garden is the pool area. The giant pool, which came with the house, has been refurbished to include a large circular pool within a rectangle shape, covered in grey tiles, and shallow water to create a refreshing seating area and paddling spot for the younger children. According to a swimming pool specialist, refurbishing an outdoor swimming pool in the UK can cost anywhere from £5,000 to £20,000. Considering the size and unique shape of Stacey’s pool, it’s likely that it was on the pricier side.

A bespoke wendy house

Stacey’s DIY skills are also on full display in the wendy house, which she transformed from a black and white cottage-style to a grey-walled, barn-door beauty. Although the wendy house was purchased with the property, similar two-storey mega play rooms can cost around £1,000 from Robert Dyas.

A bespoke swing for the kids

The garden also features a bespoke wooden swing, which cost £109 from Fall with grace, and is embossed with the words: “To our darling boys…We love you to the moon and back.” The swing is an ode to Stacey’s boys, Zachary, Leighton, and Rex.

A giant climbing frame

The solid wooden structure includes a green slide, swings, and even a climbing area. A similar-sized climbing frame from Rebo can set you back £1,000.

A Grecian-inspired pergola

Finally, the pair have their own private getaway in the form of a Grecian-inspired pergola. The pair, who married in the garden of their home, gave their wooden pergola a glow-up, making the entire area a chic, white relaxation spot for the family to enjoy in the summer.

As I sit in my own garden, surrounded by my pickling jars and herbs, I can’t help but feel inspired by Stacey’s garden oasis. It’s a reminder that with a little creativity and hard work, we can create our own forever homes, perfect for relaxing and entertaining with the people we love.
