Renovating Pickle Cottage: A Journey of Self-Discovery

As I sit in my cozy Pickle Cottage, surrounded by the chaos of renovation, I am reminded of the importance of self-care and patience. My name is Stacey, and I’m a mum of four, and I’ve been documenting my journey of renovating my Essex home on social media.

A glimpse into my Pickle Cottage

My journey began last year, and I’ve been sharing every step of the way with my followers. From the final result of my son Rex’s dinosaur bathroom to the latest updates on my back garden and kitchen, I’ve been keeping my fans engaged and excited.

The Back Garden and Kitchen Update

In my latest update, I shared a video of my back garden, where workers are busy constructing a pool-shaped hole in the ground. It’s a slow process, but I’m excited to finally have a safe working pool in a few weeks.

The pool is taking shape

My kitchen is also undergoing a major overhaul. Although there’s not much to report yet, I’m hoping to finish the painting and choose the kitchen design soon. Fingers crossed, the floor will be down soon, and we’ll be ready to go!

The Bathroom Makeover

Even my bathroom is getting a makeover, and I need your help! I posted a photo of two different sets of tiles and asked my fans to help me decide between hexagons or rectangles. The shower in the main bathroom is being tiled, and I’m torn between the two options.

A Helping Hand from Rex

My son Rex loves to help, and we had a fun afternoon cleaning his ball pit together. We lost a few balls in the process, but it was a great bonding experience.

Rex loves to lend a hand

As I continue on this journey of renovating Pickle Cottage, I’m reminded of the importance of patience, self-care, and asking for help when needed. I hope you’ll join me on this journey and share your own experiences of renovating and self-discovery.
