As the summer months approach, many of us are eager to get our gardens in tip-top shape for the kids to enjoy. For Stacey Solomon and her husband, Joe Swash, their forever home, Pickle Cottage, has been a labor of love. The Loose Women star has been busy renovating the property, which boasts an impressive 2.5 acres of land, perfect for their five kids to run wild.

Summer fun in the sun

The crown jewel of their outdoor space is the stunning pool, which Stacey has cleverly renovated to include a large circular pool within a rectangle shape, complete with grey tiles and shallow water for the younger kids to paddle around in. According to swimming pool specialists, refurbishing an outdoor pool in the UK can cost anywhere from £5,000 to £20,000. Considering the size and unique shape of Stacey’s pool, it’s likely that the renovation was on the pricier side.

A cozy retreat for the kids

The DIY enthusiast didn’t stop at the pool. She also transformed the wendy house in the back garden, giving it a charming black and white cottage-style makeover, complete with grey walls and a barn-style door. The perfect hideaway for the kids to escape to.

A bespoke swing for the kids

The garden also features a bespoke wooden swing, which Stacey had custom-made for the kids. The swing, which cost £109 from Fall with grace, is embossed with a sweet message for her boys, Zachary, Leighton, and Rex. The family’s two daughters, Rose and Belle, are sure to love it just as much.

A play area fit for a kingdom

With so much space to play with, the family was able to create an epic play area for the kids, complete with a solid wooden structure, green slide, swings, and even a climbing area. The climbing frame and slide set, similar to one from Rebo, would set you back around £1,000.

A Grecian-inspired retreat

Finally, the family has their own private getaway in the form of a stunning Grecian-inspired pergola. The wooden pergola, which the couple renovated themselves, is now a chic, white relaxation spot perfect for lazy summer days. And with an enormous log burner for cooler nights, it’s the perfect spot to unwind.
