Zip Line Dreams Come True at Pickle Cottage

As a seasoned DIY enthusiast and TV presenter, I’ve always dreamed of having a zip line in my garden. And now, I’m thrilled to say that my childhood fantasy has finally become a reality!

A zip line adventure in the making

My husband Joe and I decided to take the plunge and install a 50ft zip line at our beloved Pickle Cottage. It’s been a dream of ours, and our kids’, for as long as we can remember. We’re so grateful to have the space to make it happen.

Of course, it wasn’t as simple as just deciding to get a zip line. Oh no, it required a lot of maths and physics to calculate the perfect installation. I was about to attempt a DIY job, but then I realised it would end in disaster! Thankfully, we found an incredible small business, mr.treehouse.co.uk, who made our zip line dreams come true.

Getting hands-on with the garden makeover

As you may know, I’ve been focusing on improving our garden at Pickle Cottage. From operating a tractor digger (with Joe cheering me on from a safe distance) to creating a beautiful pond, it’s been a labour of love. And now, with the zip line in place, our garden is the perfect haven for adventure and fun.
